Cow eating from a feedstar feed belt

New dairy cattle barn for the Hermann family

Work made simpler in new construction

From 1981 to 2021, the Hermann family milked 30 cows in a tie-stall barn with a drive-over feeding table. Due to the heavy workload and outdated technology, the family decided to build a modern new barn. They wanted it to be brighter, larger and more comfortable, and thus future-oriented. The decision to go with the feedstar feed belt was quickly made. One of the reasons for this was the lower construction costs compared to the drive-over feed table. In addition, there is no need to push the feed during the day and the animals can still reach it at any time.

Simple and straightforward installation

The farmer installed the feed belt himself. Thanks to the clear instructions, this was done in no time at all. With all components, such as the winch, belt, roll-back device and control system, the system is simple in design. Marinus Hermann would install the feed belt again anytime.
